We know how important communication is and over the past year communication has improved as a club and also how we have increased our social media footprint.
As you are aware Padel Courts will be coming to Stourbridge in 2026.I would encourage you all to access the website to where you will see the first page which is a landing page where you can sign up for updates about Padel. There will also be regular communications moving forward when we have more information to share with you as well.
The Padel planning application was finally approved on 10th October 2025. It was a painful, drawn out process not helped by South Staffordshire Council lack of urgency in this process. We subsequently received an apology from the council following our concerns.
The contractor responsible for the groundwork's is working towards a start date for the club. As soon as we know the start date this will be communicated to you.
Many of you will be aware of the requirement to remove the Willow Tree and Conifer trees in the area where the courts are to be built. The appropriate Bio Diversity Net Gain Assessment was completed to understand the habitat which we were losing and from this to ensure that these distinctive habitats can be replaced by units of the same broad habitat type or higher distinctiveness.
