Exciting Tennis Updates; Team Matches, Sapsford Sessions and More!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

We hope you are well and have enjoyed the lovely sunshine we've been treated to this week. We are excited to bring you some great opportunities to see and play tennis at SLTSC.

Men's National Club League Match - Sunday 12th April: 12pm

Head down tomorrow at 12pm to watch the first home match of the SLTSC Men's National Team vs Beechwood. The team tomorrow stars:

  • Tom Welsh - Former interim coach and hitting partner of Emma Raducanu, former hitting partner of Lelya Fernandez and current hitting partner of Henry Searl (2023 Junior Wimbledon Winner & British No.18). Academy Coach at Loughborough University. WTN 5 (S) & 7.6 (D).

  • Finley Cook (Captain) - 10 x SLTSC Men's Singles Champion, 2025 FAST4 Open Regional Tour (Tipton) Winner. Ranked 374 in the UK. WTN 11.8 (S) & 12.5 (D).

  • Joe Hart - Reigning Wollaston (boo) Men's Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles Champion. H&W 2025 County Championship Men's Doubles Finalist. H&W 2024 County Championship Men's Singles Winner. Ranked 501 in the UK. WTN 15.6 (S) & 17.1 (D)

  • Charles Hill - 2024 SLTSC Men's Singles Finalist, SLTSC Men's A Team Player Since 2016, winning over 100 team matches for SLTSC to date.

Please Note

Due to a function, member access to the balcony will be through the GYM FIRE EXIT and members will be able to access the bar via the Iverley Room. Luke is making up some delicious cobs, so come along and enjoy some phenomenal tennis!

Former Wimbledon Stars headed to Stourbridge!: Saturday 2nd May

We're delighted to say we'll be welcoming Danny Sapsford (Former World No.170, Wimbledon 3rd Round & British Davis Cup Player) alongside another special guest to Stourbridge on Saturday 2nd May, as part of our open day!

Danny & his guest will be running a number of coaching sessions for Juniors and Adults across the afternoon. This is a phenomenal opportunity to get coached by some former pros, and we hope you will all take part.

Following the Coaching, at 5pm , Danny & his guest will be playing an Exhibition Match on Court 1 with two of our wonderful Ladies' A Team, so if you're not able to play, please do come down for 5 to watch.

You can either call the office, or book on ClubSpark using the links below. Sessions are priced at £5 for Juniors and £10 for adults, and all money raised will go to support Junior Tennis at SLTSC.

Please make sure you book on by Saturday 25th April , as their attendance will be subject to adequate numbers.
