Good Afternoon Members.
Like everyone else across Stourbridge, we have been deeply saddened to see the fires affecting our local area over the past few days.
We know that many of our members live in the communities affected, with some facing evacuation, disruption or the worry of seeing the fires come frighteningly close to their homes. Many more will have family, friends and neighbours who have been affected.
We also know that members of our club and their families work within our emergency services and other organisations responding to the fires. We want to express our enormous gratitude to them, and the firefighters, police, ambulance crews and everyone else who has worked tirelessly to protect people, homes, animals and property.
At a difficult time, it has been heartening to see the response from across Stourbridge - neighbours helping neighbours, people opening their homes, local businesses and organisations offering support, and volunteers giving their time wherever it is needed.
Stourbridge Lawn Tennis & Squash Club has been a proud part of this community for generations. Today, our thoughts are with everyone across the town that has been affected.
Please continue to look out for one another and stay safe.
