Introducing Our New Welfare Officer
Hello,
I would like to introduce myself as the newly appointed Stourbridge Lawn Tennis and Squash Club Welfare Officer. In my day job I am an executive Director at a large West Midlands Children Services organisation. I have a wealth of experience relating to safeguarding matters and am well qualified for the role.
I am also a member of the club and you will see me here on most Friday evenings enjoying the spoils of the bar (and occasionally the gym). I have 3 young kids and my 9 year old son considers the club to be “his second home”. I think this is the point. We want all children to have a great experience at our club and above all to feel safe and included. The role of the welfare Officer is to promote an environment that achieves just that.
I have included here a range of updated policies that aim to assure you that we take your children’s welfare seriously. These include:

-Anti-bullying policy
-Online safety and communication policy
-Safe recruitment policy
-Photography and filming policy
They are an important reference point if you have any concerns.
You will also see around the club the welfare officer poster that provides all of my contact details. If you have any concerns relating to a child’s welfare, please contact me.
