British Junior Squash Open 2026
(Competition matches 2nd-5th January)
Dear Members,
It is exciting times at the club this time of year.
We have just completed the National Racketball Series Finals and National Racketball doubles which was a superb success, the place was rocking.
Now we move onto to a Major Platinum Squash Event ,the British Junior Open which is the most prestigious event on the world junior calendar and is where the very best juniors from around the world come together.
For 100 years the British Junior Open Squash Tournament continues to be a proving ground for the next generation of squash stars. Welcoming over 750 players from more than 63 countries,
With competition categories for boys and girls from Under 11s through to Under 19s, the British Junior Open offers young athletes the unique opportunity to test themselves against the world’s best.
The 2026 British Junior Open will be held across five premier squash venues in the West Midlands: University of Birmingham Sport and Fitness, Edgbaston Priory Club, West Warwickshire Sports Complex, Sutton Coldfield Squash Club, and new for 2026 Stourbridge Lawn Tennis and Squash Club.
Spectating at Stourbridge is free, 5 match courts will be in use during the tournament, including the 100+ seated show court. Matches are expected to start at 09.00 each day.
Practice Sessions: 30th Dec – 1st Jan
Competition matches: 2nd Jan – 5th Jan
All finals: Tuesday 6th Jan, at Birmingham University.
