Dear Members,
I would like to make all you all aware of essential works being undertaken to the area outside the club house where the tennis practice wall is located.
This is the ground works required prior to the installation of the 2 Padel Courts.
This work is to commence on Monday 8th December 2025 and could take 14 weeks to complete.
You will receive regular updates about these ground works moving forward.
From Monday 8th December 2025 up to the completion of the works there will be no access to the pathway pebble leading to tennis courts 8.9.10.11,12,13 and 14.
This area will be closed off and is out of bounds and entry under any circumstances is not permitted.
There is a map attached to show how access can be gained to these tennis courts.
To further explain if the map is not clear to you:
Access to courts 8,9,10.11,12 will be via the plexi cushion court 7 and then walking around the perimeter court fencing to your court.
Court 13 and Court 14 will be accessed (only) by leaving the front entrance of club and entering via a new entrance to these courts.
All members are reminded to be aware of vehicles on the car park when crossing towards the courts.
There will be no access via the door outside squash court 6 and no access via the wellness room to any members (including coaches).
The tennis practice wall will also be out of action.
We apologise for the inconvenience but it is essential we complete these works at this time and also ensure everyone's safety is paramount.
Can we please ask that consideration is given to tennis players on court at the time and please wait for rallies to stop before walking through and behind the courts.
Juniors will need to be supervised by an adult when leaving the club and accessing tennis courts 13 and 14.
Children will need to be supervised whilst on court 13 and 14 and when leaving these courts to re-enter the club.
Friday night tennis will continue as usual but with these supervision conditions in place.
A map is attached for your reference and there will be information displayed explaining these access points.
Certain areas of the main car park and grounds will be cordoned off and are out of bounds.
If you have any concerns or questions please ask at reception and the staff will be happy to help.
Thank you again for your understanding and the disruption which you may incur.
